The wife is watching me the new Dromida 1/18 Touring and ask me if I was going to make it a drifter. This gets the gears turning in the ole transmission. I wonder if it will drift if I put some drift tires on it. I didn’t want to invest $20 or so in some tires to try it out. So the the ole light bulb goes on and I think why not wrap the tires with electrical tape and see what happens. So that is what I did wrap the tires with a couple of layers of electrical tape. I took it outside to the asphalt driveway, nowhere inside do I have enough room to try this.
Now keep in mind that I am a beginner drifter only been doing it a couple of weeks with my Hpi Sprint 2. However the little Dromida Touring did a pretty good job. Probably would have been better with a locked rear diff bit it wasn’t. Both of the Dromida diffs were open just the way it came out of the box. Tonight I took it with me to the Legion hall so I could try it during slack time. It was my night to work bingo kitchen. Considering the small space I had to work with and my skills I thought it did a pretty good job.
Kind of wanted to locked the rear end and try it but didn’t really want to turn it into a straight drifter, I wanted to keep it as a touring car. But having a small drifter that I could take to the legion hall or use in the basement of the new house would be nice so I convinced the CFO that I needed a ExceedRC Mad Pulse Drift car that I could use in the basement and other places. So it’s on order and will be here in a week or so.
